In June this year I travelled to the Faroe Islands by motor caravan, hoping to draw and paint the amazing scenery. As it turned out, the weather was wet and windy. I did manage to do some drawing, but when I tried to paint my easel blew over. However I have some sketches and a lot of photographs to work from and have added my latest lithographs - 'Seal Rock' and 'Faroese Road' to the lithography gallery. I have also completed two and started another three paintings. (Images to follow). The Art scene there is very active with paintings, outdoor sculpture and installations
I have just returned from a few days in the Lake district and have some sketches and photographs to work from - mainly of the beautiful Wasdale.
After an SGFA 'Drawing Day' at Southwark Cathedral I completed two small paintings, based on my sketches. These are now on display in the Cathedral café, along with work from the other participants.
One of my lithographs 'Magdelena Fiord' will be in an exhibition of lithographs made at Simon Burder's studio. This is at the Riverside Gallery in Richmond from 3rd November to 12th January. Another lithograph, 'Cir Mhor from Glen Rosa' has been selected for the 'Masters' print exhibition at the Bankside Gallery, London, in November.
