In June last year I travelled to the Faroe Islands by motor caravan, hoping to draw and paint the amazing scenery. As it turned out, the weather was wet and windy. I did manage to do some drawing, but when I tried to paint my easel blew over. However I have some sketches and a lot of photographs to work from and have added my latest lithographs - 'Seal Rock' and 'Faroese Road' to the lithography gallery. I have also completed two and started another three paintings. (Images to follow). The Art scene there is very active with paintings, outdoor sculpture and installations
In the Autumn I visited the Lake District and North Wales and have two watercolours of Wasdale, and have completed an oil painting of Snowdonia.
One of my lithographs 'Magdelena Fiord' was in an exhibition of lithographs made at Simon Burder's studio. This has been bought but there are more in the edition. Another lithograph, 'Cir Mhor from Glen Rosa' was selected for the 'Masters' print exhibition at the Bankside Gallery, London, in November.
I have some prints in the SGFA Centenary exhibition which has just finished in Birmingham and opens at the Bankside Gallery on 5th June.
I am planning to open my studio as part of SAOS in early June and also taking part in an exhibition of prints at Denbies vineyard in Dorking.
